The KNUST Chapter of the Ghana Association of University Administrators (GAUA) has sworn in newly elected executives for the Association at the Great Hall Conference Room.
The executives include, Mr. Anthony Adjapong as President, Mr. Emmanuel Ebo Ocran, Vice President, Mr. Festus Nyame, Secretary, Mrs. Mavis Osei Boateng, Assistant Secretary, Mr. Evans Owusu Appau, Treasurer and Mrs. Senita Osei Badu as Editor. They would serve the association for a two-year term.

Mr. Anthony Adjapong on behalf of the new executives, commended the outgone executives for the good work done during their tenure. According to him, it is a privilege to serve the Association during its 40th anniversary, since it marks new beginnings. His team, he added, is prepared to work and accomplish set goals for the Association. He, therefore, called on members to be united and continue to support them in order for the Association to progress to a new level. He further urged other unions of the University to come together as they contribute to the development of the University.

Mr. Kwame Yeboah Jr., outgone President, expressed his appreciation to GAUA members for their support during his tenure. According to him, the tremendous support received from members allowed his administration to achieve its goals. He was hopeful that the same support would be extended to the new administration. He used the opportunity to advise the incoming executives to be diligent, unite members and consult experts when the need arises.
Professor Rexford Assase Oppong, on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, congratulated the executives on their appointments. He urged them to continue to carry on the good works started by the previous administration and assured them of Management’s support and commitment during their tenure.
Representatives from the University Teachers Association of Ghana, (UTAG), Teachers and Educational Workers Union (TEWU), and Senior Staff Association, KNUST (SSA-K) also congratulated the newly sworn in executives.
The executives were sworn into office by Barrister Isaac Berko, Senior Assistant Registrar of the Legal and Welfare Office of KNUST.
